I graduated from Malone High School in 1982. I’m retired from the US Air Force after 23 years. When I joined I became a C-130 Crew Chief then I retrained and became an Air Force Education & Training Manager. I finished my service in San Antonio Texas where I met my long time boyfriend, David and moved to Corpus Christi to be with him. I’m currently living part time in Marianna and Corpus Christi. I earned 2 Masters degrees during my years in the AF but did not want to pursue a job in Human Resource Management. I’ve been enjoying my retirement by attending the local colleges (thanks to the Post 911 GI Bill) taking fun, art classes.
My entire family are artists of some sort; Grandfather Fritz Koch (who is 106), Mother, Monika Tabor, Father, Richard A. Tabor, sister, Michele Kimbrough, my brother, Michael Tabor, and of course my nephew, Richard L. Tabor. I enjoy making things from found items and building stuff. I also love ceramics, sculpture and design. I love to go junkin’ (antiquing), gardening, doing anything artsy, and fishing. I am Mother to 2 fur babies, Thor and Mr. Magoo and Titty (my only cat) and step Mom to another fur baby Scout. I want to be a member of the Marianna community and enjoy the Art Guild with everyone, but especially my sister and Mom while I’m in Marianna.
