Michele Tabor Kimbrough
Tabor Art Studio
I am a watercolor artist in the Marianna, Florida community. I paint the American Dream. My subject matter includes flowers, community images, and aviation.
Drawing and painting have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was influenced by my 106-year-old grandfather, Fritz Koch, living in Berlin. His artistic shadow is long and his influence on my work is profound. It is most noticeable in my renderings of flowers and community images.
My aviation themed artwork comes from my former experience as a helicopter and airplane pilot in the Army. Currently I am an academic flight instructor training Army student pilots at Ft. Rucker, AL. I began my pursuit as a professional artists after 9 11 when I was laid off from the airline industry as a commercial airline pilot.
I am a founding member and past president of The Artist Guild of Northwest Florida (Marianna), the membership chair for Southern Watercolor Society, and Signature Member of the Tallahassee Watercolor Society. I am also a member of the Gadsden Artists Guild in Quincy, a Florida Watercolor Society member, and an American Society of Aviation Artists member.
Send your images and I will bring them to life as a custom watercolor.
